A complete profile is essential
Before you start searching, make sure your profile is as complete as possible. Pet owners will look at it closely before contacting you. Your profile is comparable to a resume in a traditional job application.

Check your profile for completeness before applying:

  • Ask former employers for a positive review: You can collect up to 2 reviews from outside the platform!
  • Write an appealing description of your service
  • Ensure your hourly rate is in line with the hourly rates of other pet sitters in your area
  • You can upload reference letters, work certificates, diplomas, or other relevant work documents under "Documents" at any time

Read job offers carefully
When you find a suitable offer, read it carefully to see if all the details fit for you. It's best to apply only for suitable job offers. This way, you have the best chance of getting your desired job.

Personalized messages
Take some time with your applications and write a personalized message for each job offer. Address the specific job in detail. This shows your interest and increases your chances of getting your desired job.

Keep an eye on current jobs
In the search, you can sort the jobs by creation date. This way, you always see the newest jobs at the top of the list and can apply quickly.

Check login date
Occasionally check the login date of the client, especially if a job offer was posted a while ago. The rule of thumb: last login today, yesterday, or this week – apply! Last login this month or over a month ago: better skip it.

Search radius
Consider that it's much easier if the workplace is nearby rather than having to travel a long distance each time. Think about which locations are easily accessible for you and which are not.
